  • 1 pound Steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank) Choose a tender cut for the best texture.
  • 2-3 medium-sized Potatoes (Yukon Gold or red) Hold their shape and add creaminess.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Freshly minced for best flavor.
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil For caramelizing the steak and potatoes.
  • to taste Seasoning (salt, pepper, and herbs) Dried rosemary and thyme pair well.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and dice the potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Mince the garlic and set aside.
  3. Cut the steak into uniform cubes.
Marination
  1. In a mixing bowl, toss the cubed steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, and herbs until well-coated.
  2. Let it marinate in the fridge for about 10 minutes.
Cooking Potatoes
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. Add the potato cubes and sauté for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Cooking Steak
  1. Remove the cooked potatoes and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and increase the heat to high.
  3. Add the marinated steak bites and cook for 4-5 minutes until seared.
  4. Mix in the minced garlic during the last minute of cooking.
Combining
  1. Add the crispy potato cubes back into the skillet with the steak and garlic.
  2. Stir everything together for 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
Serving
  1. Plate the Garlic Steak Bites and Potatoes, garnishing with chopped parsley if desired.
  2. Serve hot and enjoy!
