Preparation
- In a small bowl, dissolve about 2 tablespoons of gelatin powder in 1/2 cup of cold water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
- In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water (or fruit juice) to a gentle boil over medium heat.
- Stir the bloomed gelatin mixture into the hot liquid until fully dissolved, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add your desired sweetener and mix until dissolved; taste and adjust the sweetness.
- If using, add fruit pieces or puree for additional flavor. Remove the pan from heat.
- Carefully pour the mixture into small cups or molds and allow them to cool at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- Transfer cups to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2-4 hours until fully set.
