Preparation
- Gather all ingredients: 1 cup of fruit juice, 2 tablespoons of gelatin powder, and optional sweetener. Ensure your workspace is clean.
- In a small saucepan, pour in half a cup of cold water. Sprinkle the gelatin powder over the water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
- Gradually heat the saucepan over low heat, stirring continuously until the gelatin has fully dissolved (about 3-4 minutes). Avoid boiling!
- In a separate bowl, mix your fruit juice (and sweetener, if using) with the remaining half cup of water, then pour this mixture into the dissolved gelatin.
- Pour the mixture into small molds or an 8x8-inch pan for easy slicing once set.
- Refrigerate for about 4 hours or until set. The gelatin should feel firm but soft to the touch.
- Once solid, cut into bite-sized pieces and enjoy your homemade gelatin snack cold and refreshing.
