Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients: fresh ginger, water, honey, and lemon if desired.
  2. Peel and thinly slice or grate about a 1-inch piece of fresh ginger.
Brewing
  1. In a small pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the water reaches a rolling boil, add the ginger slices and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea into your favorite mug, discarding the ginger pieces.
Enhancing the Flavor
  1. Stir in honey or squeeze in some lemon juice for added flavor.
