Baking Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth and fluffy.
- Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, and stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips into the dough, being careful not to break them.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the cookies are set but still soft. Let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
