Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces Green Plantains Look for firm green plantains for the best crunch.
  • 1 tsp Cooking Oil Optional, a light spray or brush enhances crispiness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Peel the green plantains by cutting off the ends and making a shallow score down the side.
  2. Thinly slice the plantains, about 1/8 inch thick, using a mandoline for evenness.
  3. Optionally, lightly spray or brush the slices with oil for extra crunch and sprinkle with salt or spices if desired.
Cooking
  1. Place the sliced plantains in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  2. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  3. Continue to air fry until they are golden brown and crispy, monitoring closely to avoid burning.
  4. Remove from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes to crisp up even more.
  5. Serve your chips plain or with your favorite dips.
