Preparation
- Peel the green plantains by cutting off the ends and making a shallow score down the side.
- Thinly slice the plantains, about 1/8 inch thick, using a mandoline for evenness.
- Optionally, lightly spray or brush the slices with oil for extra crunch and sprinkle with salt or spices if desired.
Cooking
- Place the sliced plantains in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Continue to air fry until they are golden brown and crispy, monitoring closely to avoid burning.
- Remove from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes to crisp up even more.
- Serve your chips plain or with your favorite dips.
