Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the softened butter with granulated sugar until smooth and creamy for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 30 minutes.
Baking
- Roll out the chilled dough to about ¼ inch thick and use cookie cutters to shape the cookies.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
