Ingredients

Brownie Base
  • 1 box brownie mix (and ingredients listed on the box: typically eggs, oil, and water) This serves as the moist, fudgy base of your brownies.
Cookie Layer
  • 1 tube refrigerated cookie dough (e.g., chocolate chip) This will create a sweet layer on top of the brownie, enhancing the overall flavor and texture.
Oreo Layer
  • 1 pack Oreo cookies These add a delightful crunch and a rich chocolate flavor that contrasts beautifully with the softness of the brownie.
Cooking Essentials
  • 1 can nonstick cooking spray Ensures that your brownies release easily from the pan without sticking.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly coat your 9x9 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, follow the instructions on the brownie mix package, typically combining it with eggs, oil, and water until you have a smooth batter.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly.
  5. Place rows of whole Oreo cookies on top of the brownie batter.
  6. Carefully spread the cookie dough over the Oreos.
  7. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the cookie dough, spreading it gently to cover the dough completely.
Baking
  1. Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes.
  2. After baking, let the brownies cool in the pan for about 15 minutes before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Dust Oreo cookies with flour before layering them to prevent them from soaking up too much moisture. Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain their moist texture.
