Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with the granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until there are no flour pockets visible and the dough comes together.
- Scoop about a tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Place them on a lined baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.
- Create a small indentation in the center of each ball using your thumb or the back of a teaspoon.
- Spoon a small amount of jelly into each indentation, about a half teaspoon is enough.
Baking
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until cookies are lightly golden around the edges but soft in the center.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
Serving
- Enjoy the cookies warm or store them for later.
