Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or turkey until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Mix until smooth.
Layering & Baking
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom. Place four lasagna noodles on top, then layer one-third of the meat mixture, followed by half of the cheese mixture, and a cup of marinara sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and a final layer of marinara sauce topped with the remaining mozzarella.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes. After that, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Allow the lasagna to rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
