Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a round cake pan to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 150 grams of all-purpose flour, 100 ml of water, 100 ml of milk, 80 grams of butter, 4 large eggs, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt. Mix these ingredients until the batter is smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, spreading it evenly across the surface.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cake is golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Filling Preparation
  1. While the cake is baking, prepare the filling. In a saucepan, heat 500 ml of milk with 150 grams of sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together 100 grams of flour and 2 eggs. Gradually add the warm milk mixture to this and then return the entire mixture to heat, cooking until it thickens.
Assembly
  1. Once the cake has cooled, carefully slice it horizontally into two layers.
  2. Spread the creamy filling between the layers and on top.
  3. Melt 180 grams of butter and drizzle it over the top of the cake.
  4. Finally, dust with icing sugar or your favorite garnish before serving.
