  • 2 cans sliced peaches in syrup (15 ounces each) Do not drain as the syrup keeps the filling juicy and sweet.
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 ounces) Use the dry mix straight from the box.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Adds warm spice.
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted Pour evenly to help the cake mix absorb.
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional) Use or omit based on preference.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the peaches with their syrup into the prepared baking dish and spread them evenly across the bottom.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the peaches, covering the fruit.
  4. Sprinkle the cinnamon over the cake mix evenly.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter all over the top.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top if using.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  2. Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving.
