Preparation
- Gather your bread, pesto, cheese, and butter.
- Butter one side of each slice of bread.
Assembly
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a thin layer of pesto.
- Add cheese on top along with any optional ingredients, then place the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up.
Cooking
- Preheat your skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place your sandwich in the skillet.
- Grill for about 3-4 minutes on one side, until golden and crispy. Press down gently with a spatula.
- Repeat on the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
Serving
- Once both sides are golden and the cheese is melted, remove from heat.
- Allow to cool slightly, then slice in half and serve.
