  • 1 packet flavored gelatin powder (sugar-free or regular) Main flavor and color; choose sugar-free to reduce calories, regular for sweeter result.
  • 1/2 cup hot water Dissolves the gelatin completely.
  • 1 to 1.5 cups cold water or ice Cools mixture quickly; determines drink concentration.
  • 1 scoop unflavored collagen or gelatin powder (optional) Adds protein and firmer texture.
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon or lime juice (optional) Brightens flavor and adds tang.
  • to taste sweetener (optional) Sweetener Only if using sugar-free gelatin to increase sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a heatproof bowl, sprinkle the flavored gelatin over 1/2 cup hot water and stir until completely dissolved.
  2. Stir in the unflavored collagen or gelatin powder until smooth if using.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon or lime juice and sweetener to taste if desired.
  4. Pour in 1 to 1.5 cups cold water or ice and stir gently.
  5. Refrigerate for 30 to 60 minutes until soft set, or up to 2 hours for a firmer gel.
  6. Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes
