Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the creamed mixture, mixing until incorporated.

  6. Divide the dough into two halves and wrap each in plastic wrap. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Roll the chilled dough on a floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness and cut it into desired shapes.
  2. Place the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
