Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt or loaf pan.

- Gradually add in the sugar, beating until fully combined, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder, then gently fold this into the wet mixture.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- If the cake browns too quickly, lightly cover the top with foil.
