Preparation
  1. Drain and rinse the chickpeas thoroughly, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the dried chickpeas with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  2. Cook for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  3. Start checking at the 15-minute mark for golden brown and crunchy texture; cook longer if necessary.

  1. Allow the chickpeas to cool slightly before serving. They will crisp up even more as they cool down.
