  • 1 tablespoon agar-agar Seaweed-derived gelling agent.
  • 1 cup fruit puree Choose any fruit like berry or mango.
  • to taste natural sweeteners (like agave or maple syrup) Optional add-ins for flavor enhancement.

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather your ingredients: Ensure you have all the ingredients ready—agar-agar, fruit puree, sweeteners, and water.
  2. Mix agar-agar with water: In a pot, combine 2 cups of water with 1 tablespoon of agar-agar. Stir well to avoid clumps.
  3. Heat the mixture: Bring the pot to a gentle boil over medium heat. Stir continuously for about 5 minutes to fully dissolve the agar-agar.
  4. Add fruit puree and sweetener: Once the agar-agar dissolves, lower the heat and stir in 1 cup of your chosen fruit puree and a sweetener to taste. Let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  5. Transfer to molds: Pour the mixture into molds or a baking dish and allow it to cool at room temperature for around 30 minutes before transferring it to the fridge.
  6. Chill: Let it chill in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or until set.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Once firm, unmold the gelatin, cut it into pieces, and enjoy your tasty low-calorie snack!
