Ingredients
  

Gelling Agents
  • 1 tablespoon Agar-Agar powder A seaweed-derived gelatin substitute, sets at room temperature.
  • 1 cup Liquid (juice or plant-based milk) Any liquid of your choice can be used.
Optional Additions
  • 1 Carrageenan Widely used in dairy alternatives for thickening.
  • 1 Pectin Great for making jams and adds sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon Kudzu Powder A nutrient-rich thickening agent.
  • 1 tablespoon Flaxseed Meal Adds thickness and is high in omega-3 fatty acids.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Measure out 1 tablespoon of agar-agar powder and 1 cup of liquid (juice or plant-based milk) of your choice.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the agar-agar powder with your chosen liquid. Stir well to prevent clumping.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring continuously for about 5 minutes.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until fully dissolved.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and pour the mixture into molds or a dish of your choice.
  6. Allow it to cool at room temperature for around 15 minutes.
  7. Place the molds in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until fully set.
  8. Once set, gently remove from molds and enjoy your delicious, plant-based gel!

Notes
