Ingredients

For the Apple Filling
  • 4 cups Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp) For the best flavor.
  • ½ cup Granulated Sugar Adjust based on the sweetness of your apples.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon Essential for the classic flavor.
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Rolled Oats For the crunchy topping.
  • ½ cup All-Purpose Flour Helps bind the topping.
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar Adds depth and richness.
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt Balances the sweetness.
  • ½ cup Butter (softened) Provides richness and moisture.

Method

Preparation
  1. Peel and slice the apples, then sprinkle with granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, tossing to coat.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well, then add the softened butter. Use your hands or a fork to create a crumbly texture.
Cooking
  1. Place the prepared apples in the air fryer basket. Evenly spread the oat topping over the apples.
  2. Set your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and cook for about 20-25 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  3. After 15 minutes, check the crisp to ensure it doesn’t overcook; adjust time as needed.
  4. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
