Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 1 lb Chicken breast, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup Cornstarch For a crispy coating
  • 1 Egg Helps cornstarch stick to chicken
  • ½ cup Orange juice Freshly squeezed preferred for better flavor
  • ¼ cup Soy sauce Low-sodium works great
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar Adds sweetness to the sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh is best for aromatic flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, minced Adds warmth and depth
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil Gives a nutty flavor to the dish
  • Green onions, for garnish Sliced, for topping

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix the chicken pieces with the egg until well-coated.
  2. Sprinkle cornstarch over the chicken and toss to coat evenly.
Cooking
  1. Set your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) and let it preheat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Place the coated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through for even cooking.
  3. While the chicken is cooking, combine orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil in a small saucepan. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, toss it in the orange sauce until well-coated.
  5. Garnish with sliced green onions and enjoy your meal hot!
